1. About the platform

ReCircle is a community platform operated by ReCircle. The platform helps members list, discover, sell, give away and reuse items, communicate with one another, save listings, receive platform notifications and share feedback.

ReCircle provides the technology that connects members. Unless expressly stated otherwise, ReCircle is not the buyer, seller, donor, recipient, owner, manufacturer or agent for items listed by members.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms and must meet any membership criteria communicated for the relevant community. Where an organisation authorises access, that organisation may apply additional rules.

• Provide accurate and current registration and profile information.
• Keep login credentials confidential and do not share an account.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Use only one identity and do not impersonate another person or organisation.
• Remain responsible for activity performed through your account.

We may require verification, restrict access or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect the community or platform.

3. Listings and permitted items

Listings must be genuine, lawful, accurate and relevant to the community. A member creating a listing confirms that the member owns the item or is authorised to list it, and that the description, condition, price, availability, images and collection details are not misleading.

You must not list or promote prohibited, unsafe, stolen, counterfeit, infringing, recalled or unlawful goods; weapons or dangerous materials; regulated goods without required authority; spam; unrelated commercial advertising; or content that is deceptive, abusive or harmful.

We may remove, decline, archive or restrict a listing that appears to breach these Terms, community rules or applicable law.

4. Member transactions

Members decide whether and how to complete an exchange. Inspect an item, confirm relevant details and agree on price, payment, collection and handover arrangements directly with the other member.

• Use a suitable and safe meeting or collection location.
• Do not make payment until satisfied with the item and arrangement.
• Do not share unnecessary financial, identity or security information.
• Keep a record of important transaction communications.

ReCircle does not guarantee a listing, item, member, transaction, payment, delivery, condition, fitness, legality or outcome. Disputes are primarily between the members involved, although we may review reports and take platform-level action.

5. Member conduct

Members must communicate respectfully and use the platform only for legitimate community activity. Harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud, manipulation, spam, malicious code, unauthorised data collection, attempts to bypass security, and misuse of contact details are prohibited.

Contact information visible to signed-in members may be used only for a genuine enquiry about the relevant listing or community activity. It must not be harvested, sold, published or used for unrelated marketing.

6. Messages, notifications and email

The platform may provide internal messages, contact details, security notices, account alerts, listing activity updates, community announcements, periodic listing digests and feedback requests.

Essential security and account messages may be sent where needed to provide or protect the service. Preferences for optional community or engagement emails may be offered where available. Do not use platform communications for spam, bulk solicitation or unlawful content.

7. Your content and intellectual property

You retain responsibility for listings, images, messages, feedback and other material submitted through your account. You grant ReCircle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve and promote the platform and its community purpose.

You confirm that submitted content does not violate another party's rights. The ReCircle name, software, interface, branding and operator-provided content remain the property of ReCircle or its licensors and may not be copied or misused.

8. Moderation, suspension and termination

We may investigate reports and remove content, limit functionality, suspend or close accounts, preserve relevant records, or refer matters to an authorised organisation or competent authority where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, address abuse or comply with law.

A member may stop using the service and may request account closure. Some records may remain where required for security, dispute management, legal obligations or system backups, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Platform availability and changes

The platform is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may be changed, paused or withdrawn, and maintenance or technical issues may interrupt access. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available service.

10. Responsibility and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReCircle is not responsible for member conduct, listing accuracy, item condition, payment or delivery disputes, indirect or consequential loss, or loss resulting from unauthorised account use, third-party services or events outside reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Members remain responsible for complying with applicable laws and for decisions made when interacting or transacting through the platform.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect platform, operational, security or legal changes. The revised version and its effective date will be published on this page. Where appropriate, a prominent notice may also be provided. Continued use after the effective date means the revised Terms apply.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates. Subject to any mandatory rights or procedures, disputes relating to the platform will be submitted to the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates.
